All Creatures Care Cottage Veterinary Hospital and staff is experienced in the special needs of many species. As well as dogs and cats, our doctors and staff possess the skill and knowledge to treat birds, lizards, snakes, tortoises, turtles, mice, rats, ferrets, frogs, hamsters, chinchillas, rabbits, guinea pigs, goats, pigs, fish, sheep and salamanders.
In addition to providing quality medical care, our staff is dedicated to promoting humane treatment and protection of all animals. All Creatures Care Cottage uses its facility and staff to provide veterinary care to injured and ill wild animals. Our staff is also active in the community as consultants to cities, local clubs, and societies to provide solutions for pet and wild animal concerns.

Dr. De La Torre was born and raised in Southern California where she was always had a passion for all animal species. She began working in the animal field when she was 15 at an exotic animal pet store in high school. She became a veterinary technician at 19 and graduated from Cal State Fullerton with a degree in Biological Science. At Cal State Fullerton she engaged in various field research projects involving native reptiles, birds and mammals. Dr. De La Torre also has been volunteering in Wildlife rescue and employed in emergency medicine for 10 years. After completing her undergraduate degree she was accepted into and graduated from Western University of Health Sciences Veterinary program. During veterinary school, Dr. De La Torre did a Wildlife Externship at Wetlands and Wildlife where she was acquainted with Dr. Joel Pasco and the staff at All Creatures Care Cottage. After graduation, Dr. De La Torre was employed in emergency medicine once again and also began working on a Master’s in Public Health through the university of Minnesota. Currently Dr. De La Torre lives with her husband Robert, rescue dog “Newt” and two rescue cats “Rufio & Spanky” at her new home in Corona. Recently Dr. De La Torre has said goodbye to her emergency graveyard shifts and has been warmly welcomed to All Creatures Care Cottage as a permanent new addition to the staff. Dr. De La Torre has an interest in small animal and exotic animal medicine, wildlife rehabilitation, and conservation issues and is a board member as well as consulting veterinarian for the Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center. |

Dr. Dave Chapman began his scientific career in the field of organic and medicinal chemistry. He received his PhD in chemistry from the University of Southern California, and spent several years involved with research in medicinal chemistry and molecular biology. In 1996 he returned to Washington State University, where he earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Chapman is a member of Southern California Veterinary Medical Association, and the California Veterinary Medical Association. Dr. Chapman has interests in international veterinary and wildlife veterinary issues, and these interests led Dr. Chapman to spend time in Indonesia helping treat and sterilize the huge street dog population, as well as volunteering at a wildlife rehabilitation center in Costa Rica. He currently is a consulting veterinarian for the Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center of Huntington Beach. Dr. Chapman also traveled extensively in Southern Nepal collecting data on venomous snakes and their impact on human and animal health. Dr. Chapman lives in Costa Mesa with 2 dogs, 3 cats, a bird, 2 tortoises and his wife Mary. |
Adan Riviera, Veterinary Technician
Adan has been working at All Creatures Care Cottage since 2010. He is a licensed veterinarian in his home country of Mexico and is currently working towards becoming licensed in California. In his free time he volunteers at a school in Mexico, making education his top priority. |

Michael has been working at All Creatures Care Cottage since 2005. He has a golden retriever named Chipper and a cat named Small Paul. In his free time Michael likes to garden at his home in Temecula. |

Nicole has been working at All Creatures Care Cottage since 2000. She was first involved in the veterinary field at the age of 15 when she began volunteering at the Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center. She has 3 dogs, Mocha – an American Staffordshire Bull Terrier, and Lilly and Arnie – who are both French Bulldogs. She is currently enrolled in college and plans to become a veterinarian. |

Julie has been working at All Creatures Care Cottage since 2010. She has been working in the veterinary field for the past 15 years. She has a menagerie of pets – 3 dogs (Gorilla, Gunner and Dexter), 7 cats (Kowboy, Herkules, UPS, Monkeybutt, Timmy, Dinero, Pacino), 7 pond fish, 5 freshwater fish, a soft shelled turtle named Scooby and a Chinchilla named Mary Jiggy Jane. In her free time Julie, who has a BS in physical education, likes to ride her motorcycle and play sports – including roller derby. |

Debbie has been working at All Creatures Care Cottage since 1998. She has 3 cats named Angel, Luke and Lucky and 2 dogs named Roxy and Paige. Debbie is all the Director of the Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center of Orange County. She began working with wildlife rescue after the American Tracer oil spill in 1990. Most of her free time is devoted to the care of orphaned and injured animals – wild or domestic. |

Amanda has been working at All Creatures Care Cottage since 2008. She has 2 cats, Belle and Tristan and a bunny named Squid. In her free time Amanda enjoys reading, and modeling. |

Melissa has been working at All Creatures Care Cottage since 2008. She has 3 cats named Angel, Luke and Lucky and 2 dogs named Roxy and Paige. In her free time she enjoys watching British TV shows (her favorite are Skins and Absolutely Fabulous) and reading books. |

When Katie and her husband Kyle added a new addition, with their son Jaxon, to the family in January 2011, Chance and Sadie welcomed him to the family with wagging tails. It was love at first sniff and the three can frequently be found hanging out together. In her free time Katie like to go to the movies, go on walks on the beach, and hang out poolside with her son and hubby.

Rebecca is a Newport Beach native who graduated from UC Santa Cruz in June 2011 with a degree in neuroscience. She plans to go to graduate school and pursue a research career in animal or molecular biology. In her free time she likes to play and listen to music, rock climb and try and spend plenty of time outdoors. She has 2 cats, Sylvie Plath and Dinah. |

Dr. Pasco received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Illinois in 1972 and completed a 14 month internship at the Animal Medical Center in New York. He is a member of the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association, California Veterinary Medical Association, and Association of Avian Veterinarians. He is the past president of the Orange County Chapter of the SCVMA, president of Alliance for Wildlife, co-founder of Avian & Exotic Society and the Director of Veterinary Services for the Wetlands and Wildlife Care Center. His special interests lie in exotic pets, wildlife medicine and surgery. Dr. Pasco applies the Golden Rule to his veterinary practice, "Treat each patient and client the way you would want to be treated." Dr. Pasco has lived and worked in Southern California for over 25 years. He shares his love for animals with his wife, Jean, and his children, Jessica and Andrew. Dr. Pasco lost his battle with esophageal cancer October 24, 2009. He spent his final week working at All Creatures, running circles around the staff. He had gone on a fishing trip with his friends and passed away in his sleep. Everyone at All Creatures misses him greatly and we are all glad to have had him in our lives. |
