Dr. Brian Hayter grew up in Tustin, California and earned a Master's degree in Fine Arts prior to becoming a veterinarian. He taught English at community college and published poetry in several national publications before his love of animals led him to pursue his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine at Auburn University where his interests included internal medicine, dermatology, and exotic species. He was named a Merial Summer Scholar where he studied the effects of BPA chemical exposure on perinatal mice. He was also given the opportunity to intern at the prestigious San Diego Zoo where he worked with all manner of species, including a panda bear, cheetah, cougar, and polar bear. Dr. Hayter sets out to answer all client questions and provide the highest level of care for pets. He and his wife Catherine are the proud parents of two rambunctious pair of boys and are expecting a baby girl in November 2017.
